About Me

I am an open, friendly and easy-going 26 year-old girl who lives and works in Berlin. I grew up in the South of Germany and lived in the UK for a couple of years. I recently decided to quit my job as a PR Executive at an agency in London and use my savings to go on a little round the world trip. So over the course of this year I will be travelling to Patagonia, Colombia, Central America (including Mexico) as well as South East Asia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love new experiences and meeting people! I am also absolutely mad about trying new foods, visiting unusual places and learning about different cultures. I hope I can get to know a few people during my travels who might be up for a chat over a few drinks, can show me around their city or give me a few tips about the place I am visiting. I am also really hoping to practice and improve my Spanish skills over the next 6 months.

Interests

Travelling, reading, good conversations, hiking, nature, snowboarding, languages, partying, music, music festivals, tv series, meeting new people, going out with friends, cooking, trying new foods, swimming in the sea, animals, enjoying the sun!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like indie rock music, electronic music, and music from the 70s and early 80s. Some of my favourite authors: Patrick Rothfuss, Jorge Amado, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Ernest Hemingway, Gabriel García Márquez, Jack Kerouac, Jane Austen, Bruce Chatwin, J.K. Rowling and Hunter S. Thompson. Movie wise I am into everything from indie flicks to classics and sci-fi. Also I am a self professed TV series addict (Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad are the best!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have never actually traveled solo, so I guess going on a year long adventure on my own is a big step out of my comfort zone...

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope I can get to know people from different places, improve my Spanish skills, learn a couple of new recipes and have a few good conversations.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a great cook (German comfort food anyone?), a good listener, a very patient German teacher, and overall easy to please!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Peru, Spain, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

England, Germany
