About Me

Hey there!
My name is Verena and I'm a laid back and open minded person - always curios to discover new parts of the world! After finishing school in 2014 i wanted to gain new experiences, see the world and have the time of my life..and that became true. Now i just can´t get enough of dreaming of new places and planning new trips.
At the moment i´m studying in Freiburg ( a wonderful, small town you have to visit), enjoying the amazing sides of a students life.

Apart from traveling i love spontaneous activities, vegetarian/vegan cooking , good laughs or chilling out!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing 2 years ago after school. Back then i bought a backpack & an oneway ticket to New Zealand.
It amazes me what i experienced trough CS...stories i can tell my friends and family when i´m a granny in a rocking chair. I´m also thrilled by the hospitality and the awesome people i met.

Music, Movies, and Books

Huge indie/alternative music lover!
Alt-J, Ziggy Alberts, Milky Chance, the kooks, arctic monkeys, ben howard, six60, annenmaykantereit, mumford and sons, ziggy alberts and the red hot chili peppers are some of my all time favourites

I love watching series..unfortunately i get addicted to them so fast! I think i already lost several weeks of my life watching Game of Thrones, Greys Anatomy, Breaking Bad, Girls and so on

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my travels i gained some very special moments, here are some of them:

->learning to appreciate the small things in life
->camping under the breathtaking night sky of New Zealand
->swimming in the death sea
->getting stuck in the sand with the car
->crossing a vulcano (hell of exhausting but worth every curse)
->seeing the southern lights

Teach, Learn, Share

You are going to gain some unforgettable experiences - Good one's as well as bad one's but you have to see everything as a chance, knowing that life goes on and if it's a bad experience you at least have a story to tell

What i always like to learn from other people are languages! Also i really want to improve my non existent surfing skills because it´s so much fun
