ABOUT ME

Ricard, 35, is a mechanical engineer with a passion for learning about the world. He has crossed Spain on a bike doing the Camino de Santiago, gone around the peninsula sleeping in his car and spent 5 ½ months trekking South America (Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Argentina) in 2009. He is originally from Barcelona and speaks Spanish and Catalan fluently as well as some English. As an Engineer he has worked in Barcelona and Madrid and would like to start doing more work that will take him to far off places. He would one day like to design and build eco-houses made of Adobe with his own hands (something which he learned about in Argentina) to prove that you can live a good life without leaving a huge carbon footprint.

Veronica, 32, is a writer and editor with a desire to constantly learn. She has also done the Camino de Santiago one on foot and once on a bike. She has lived in several countries and is fluent in English and Spanish. She eventually wants to write for a living and run an editorial team.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Starting September 4, 2014 we will be travelling to Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand.

Interests

We both like to travel, eat, meet new people, learn about new places. Ricard likes to see the wonderful nature in different places; the plants and the wildlife. Veronica likes to

Music, Movies, and Books

Ricard likes a lot of these but none in particular.

Veronica's favorite movie is Amelie. She likes Jazz, Electro fusion (jazz, tango, pop, flamenco), Classic Rock from the 60s and 70s, 80s pop, Folk, Country and Singer-Songwriter solo type stuff. Books lots, but likes Augusten Borroughs, Gregory Maguire and J.K. Rowling.

Teach, Learn, Share

We have been working as trekking guides in Nicaragua.

Ricard speaks Spanish ans Catalan fluently and is an engineer, he knows a lot about mechanical structure and design.

Veronica is a yoga teacher and has also tagh English, She is fluent in Spanish and speaks French as well. She knows some Photoshop and InDesign as well as writing and marketing skills.
