ABOUT ME
Who am I? Hard question but this is what I know about myself so far:
I used to work in Press&Communication for a multinational company until Istanbul blowed up my mind and changed my life completely.
Long story short, I went back to Argentina, sold all my stuff, quiet my job and within 5 months I moved to Turkey.
I worked for the Women Platform of a Turkish NGO and I volunteered with an association related to help foreigners women in Istanbul.
After 9 months, I decided to stay here and start to teach Spanish. And this is how I found what I really want to do, help the children.
Now my life is devided between my spanish lessons and my job at Yusra, a community center for Syrians kids in the most amazing place in town, Balat. Three times per week I meet them for arts&dance lessons and when they are not around I take care of the website.
Basically, this is the reason why I gave up on Turkish and decided to give a chance to Arabic!!
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in God and the power of love and energy and how we can use it for good. I think we should use all the possibilities and opportunities that show up in front of us, but, I believe we should use them to do whatever makes us happy and makes others happy.
I try to enjoy everything I do and make my own choices, those are the moments that makes me feel free.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My couch is not available at this moment because neither my flatmate or I have enough time to spend with our couchsurfers, and we think that this should be crucial. However, I contribute by giving information about Buenos Aires and others places from Argentina, what to see o what can you do. And about Istanbul of course :)
Time to time we attend to CouchSurfing parties in town to know new people .
Interests
I am a natural traveler, always looking for something to make me laugh and surprised me.
I'm an out and easy going person, who likes the nature, sports and of course music! This is what I do in my free time: as a good Argentinian, I love wine and spending time with my friends, my family far away from home :)
I´m a sports type of person, I swam for 8 years years so I´m kinda addicted to endorphins :P so basically this makes me love the sea.
I must say that I have an obsession with old books and, unfortunately, mate is coming with me everywhere I go (if you don´t know what means you should check it right now! especially if you are planning to visit Argentina ;) )
