About Me

CURRENT MISSION

resisting in a creative way, reasking day by day

ABOUT ME

I was born in the year 1982 (so I passed the 60ies when I should have been alive) near Vienna. I raised up in a big family. We always had a lot of action. Maybe that`s the reason for my loud voice, because we all spoke together at the same time and if you wanted the others to listen, you had to speak up.

For four years I played the flute, then I learned to play the piano, later I learned to play the saxophon. I always loved to sing, and I began to write songs on the guitar because I just knew a few accords and wasn`t able to play other songs.

I am somebody who is always changing because I`m getting bored very quickly. Maybe that`s why I know many different kinds of everything, but I never took the time to intensify. Im a mixture of materials, just like the projects I´m working on. So everytime something new is coming out. Colours are inspiring me.

If I find something, I lose it at the same time. "Stop to think" that`s what I`m not able to. The last few years I`ve been singing and screaming in the psychedelic band "Rainbow Lagoon". Since 2001 I`m studying painting, drawing, textile art and German literature to teach afterwoods. But the more I know about this schoolsystem the less I want to teach in school. I wish to open another kind of school where everybody can learn from everybody. A school for opening minds not scaring them. I love to create great artistic towers with other great artistic human beings. I am crazy in periods of letting it out.

2006/2007 I was studying abroad in Santiago de Chile. After one semester I decided to work as a volunteer in Ecuador. Being supported by a professor of mine I had the possibility of making a course without attendance. The deal was to return to Santiago to present a "paper project" at the end of the semester. So I had the possibility to continue studying, but also the freedom to decide what to do half a year. Together with some amazing Rainbow-kids of Chile I´ve travelled through Bolivia, playing music and making artesania. At the "isla del sol" I got to know many other people travelling around Southamerica. I continued my way together with an Argentinian guy to visit Machu Picchu in Peru. Then I travelled to Ecuador. Together with other volunteers we started a "recycling-paper-project" in several schools. For the first time of my life I had the feeling to live like I always wanted to live. I thought of staying in Southamerica. But I always followed my dream to open an alternative school, so I returned to Austria to finish studying. It was difficult to return because I had changed and also everything I was used to before I`ve left had changed. Well, with the time I figured it out.

You are able to initiate other kinds of things when you settle down than when you are always on the run. Once again I´ve learned to deal with this kind of system again, allthough I always have something to disagree with.

In travelling I´ve found a way of being free and sharing with the people I get to know on the run.

There are so many universes to discover on this earth.

PHILOSOPHY

If we are able to free our minds of all the bullshit we are manipulated with we will be able to solve global problems and develop conciousness for eachother.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In my opinion we are all teachers and pupils at the same time and for our whole lives. Everybody has something to teach and to learn.
I´m able to offer a couch, a cup of tea or coffee, interesting conversations, communications by music and art. You´re welcome!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I`ve just signed up here, but my neighbour often had guests of different countries and sometimes I got in touch with them.
Of course sometimes I used couches of other people or my couch was used by other people. I think it´s very important to share the resources we´ve got:)

Music, Movies, and Books

"I love Huckabees", the movies made by Almodóvar,...
I love movies playing with gender roles, unusual contents made in an unusual way and also using the media "film", the technique, in a creative mode.

Music is like making photographs, but it works much more better. It keeps every face I met awake, every moments of total satisfaction, and of course every moments of pain. Music is a language that everybody understands. Some years ago I had the greates time of my life, because I met friends with whome I could share the music I feel from deep out of my soul. I cried it all out. And it helped me...
Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Regina Spector, Bach, Lisa Loeb, Beethoven, Paul Simon, Violetta Parra, Funny van Dannen,...

Reading is a way to calm myself down, travelling by imagination without moving my body. Often I´m reading several books for a period of time, so sometimes the contents get mixed up in my head. That could be very confusing:) Normally I`m reading books in German, because as you already noticed (maybe): my English is quite strange and so I prefer reading German books;
my favourite book: "Die Töchter Egalias"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Everyday there could be seen an amazing thing if I just would be able to notice all of them!

Maybe it could be interesting for you to know that I made a tipi out of garbage (tetrapack and X-Mas-trees): it was a lot of fun and I had a lot of help;) It was like building up an utopia...

Teach, Learn, Share

I´m able to teach to knot, to sew, to make paper out of plants and recycle old paper, to help to accomplish art-projects and share everything I know.
There are so many things which I don´t know, so I´m open to all of it.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In

Austria, Chile, Ecuador, Switzerland
