I grew up in California, then moved to Oregon about 10 years ago. Shared living spaces have always been a part of my life, even though I have not Couchsurfed much! After my day job in tech support, my day-to-day relaxation time includes cooking with my husband, chatting and playing board games with our three roommates, and training my cat to do tricks. On weekends, I practice traditional Chinese Lion Dance, and enjoy different hands-on crafts. When I travel (most are just occasional weekend trips), I like my adventures to include animals somehow - like visiting a farm, or finding creatures in forests or tidepools.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my best friends is a frequent Couchsurfing host and surfer, and it's always fun to meet Couchsurfers at his place, especially when we find ways to connect with those of different backgrounds and journeys. I love the trust that people have when they feel they can share a space. Since my comfort zone is my home, travel is quite intimidating to me — so it's very helpful to know there friendly hosts out there.
