Grew up in Massachusetts, but have made the west coast my home for several years until moving back New England in January 2010. Very laid back, open, I enjoy small towns with the company of good friends, but also the big city at times for what it has to offer. I love hiking, biking, and the outdoors, intelectual conversation, and learning more about the world.

Music: Jazz, ragtime, blues, country, soul, folk, rhythm & blues, zydeco, jug band, electronica, rockabilly, gypsy jazz, klesmer, swing... what else? Books: nonfiction, I love learning about how the world works, which for me includes physics, history, biology, economics, international development, anthropology, philosophy. My favorite fiction author is Ursula K Le Guin, most recent good book I read was by Isabelle Allende. Other authors, Arundhati Roy, Richard Dawkins, Leo Toltsoy, so many others that I can´t think of right now.
