ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm a Duke student
PHILOSOPHY
My worldview would center around being a communitarian and a egalitarian, so I tend to take communities very seriously. Depending on my workload for the week, I love cooking, so let me know any requests for homemade dinners.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd love to have anyone looking for a couch in the Durham area! I'm a little wary of going into a stranger's home, so it may take me a while to try surfing someone else's couch. But, in the meantime, I am happy to open my couch to anyone looking for one. I would prefer to have a conversation via skype, etc. before agreeing to host anyone though!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I found out about couchsurfing.org through a friend who used it to bike across America, and I wanted to help out anyone doing similar things. Or just anyone looking for a cheap place to stay!
Interests
I am studying public policy, with an emphasis on environmental policy. I am passionate about women's rights (and especially their effect on the environmental scene). I also do regular HIV testing, so I'm big into public health.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've been a jazz enthusiast lately (great study music!), but I love pretty much all music, especially very chill music (think Jack Johnson-esque). My favorite book is currently a tie between 100 Years of Solitude and Middlesex. Love historical fiction-based books, where I can learn, yet hear an imaginative story.
