One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Since we're here on a travelling website - last year I packed my bag and flew to Australia to visit my friend. I was 18 and it was my first time travel all by myself and I was unbelievably excited and also scared as hell. I managed to not get lost in Taipei and when I arrived at Sydney airport I had to wait there for my morning flight. Sydney evening, humid, tired and alone. I got to domestic flights just to figure out that they are closed and that I have no place to stay for the night. I got back to international (which was already locked) and met an amazing lady who has just finished her work for the day and she helped me a lot. She told me what to do, she gave me a huge and delicious sandwich and a bottle of water. Long story short, I spent the night on a bench with 6O other people in the room at the airport(I slipped through the last open door, they locked it right after me). Right then I figured that a)Australians are just amazing and b)Even if you're not prepared for everything (how come they lock the airport door???), there's always someone who will help you, because that's just the way it works in here.
