About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet and exchange with diverse people. Learn as much as I can and explore the world as much as possible. Lead a healthy life and have as much fun as possible along the way.
ABOUT ME
In a nutshell, I love the presence of others and I enjoy going out and meeting different kinds of people. I make a point to do lots of social things like playing sports, hosting dinners and going out/ hanging out with friends.
I'm a Montrealer, grew up in Ottawa then moved back to Montreal with a few years spent in Poland and Australia along the way. I love travelling and putting myself in new challenging contexts.
I graduated uni in psychology then taught esl in Warsaw, did a whole bunch of stuff and now am back in school again. Worked as a counsellor in Mtl for a couple years before deciding to embark on a second degree in Art Education. I am finishing up my degree in Weimar Germany at Bauhaus University in Fine Arts. Looking to meet new people, improving my German and exploring the surroundings.
PHILOSOPHY
Do to others what you would like to be done to you while striving to be as happy as you can.
And... Act as though everyone you meet is a potential friend.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hosted (although my current roommate situation doesn't allow me to at the moment), I surf and I meet people to hang out a lot when I'm travelling. I also spread the word about how great of a community CS is.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have crashed on many people's couch throughout the years in various places. I usually have my door open for my friends, my friends' friends or family.
I haven't hosted in a while now given my roommate living situation but I have in the past. I've hosted people from Singapour, Poland, Germany and the US. I've surfed in Berlin, Boston, New York and Napa so far and look forward to more surfing and hosting soon.
Interests
Enthusiastic lover of the arts, especially the visual arts and interdisciplinary practices. Lover of music and going to shows. Very much into craft beer/micro brewing as well as quality coffee. I love good food (cooking it and eating it). I am an avid cyclist and really enjoy long bike rides/touring and biking in the city. Always down for picnics in the park with a few beer or beach/lake outings.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've hitchicked from Warsaw to Berlin with a friend to spend new years eve there. I worked as a grape picker at a winery in Beaujolais France. Camped on a beautiful rocky beach in Vis Croatia. Picked strawberries in Queensland. Snorkeled on the great barrier reef twice.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach the 2 langages I know perfectly and would love to improve my German. I'll share what I know and love about my hometown of Montreal and other places I've been to and lived in and hopefully I can do the same in Weimar once I get better acquainted. I'm also always keen to reminisce about Poland or Oz.
I can teach some art skills and share my passion and appreciation for the arts of corse!
