ABOUT ME
I spent four years studying law with no clear idea what I was going to do after. I feel like I've been moved from one system to the next and I think I'll be exploring options forever.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meet friendly people, learn from others, and share stories
Interests
For years I was really involved in the community as a campaigner - raising awareness of human rights and environmental issues with People and Planet, Transition, Face Your Elephant, Aegis, Student Action for Refugees. I also volunteered as a case worker for asylum seekers in London and Glasgow - in fact, anything to do with migration generally fascinates me...
And I most definitely have a BIG interest in food - that is, stuffing people! I love looking for/thinking of new recipes to try, putting on some good music and making a feast for friends! I now work as a cook at a community garden in London doing pretty much exactly that and running workshops for young people.
And I obviously like to travel and explore and have continued my parents semi-nomadic lifestyle after university - I like to get a real sense of life in different places.
These are just a few random ones I've decided to include here - but of course, what wasn't included here isn't excluded!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Another hard question....
I walked the Camino de Santiago in 2009. Looking at the map and seeing how far two legs can take you is amazing but most importantly it's the feeling I got while I was on the Camino - the change in pace, the appreciation of time and distance, and the lovely family i made along the way.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning new languages, new philosophies and really seeing the world from the perspectives of others. I can share my stories and my understanding of the cultures I've lived in and their languages (as much as I can remember) -- and some good recipes!!
