I describe myself as a lovable hard-ass. I'm a quick-witted autodidact. I tend towards sarcasm, but not around new people. I can be shy! I like to be outside. I work ten months out of the year as a public school kindergarten teacher (that’s the 1st year of primary school if you’re outside the USA).

The best travel experiences I've had don't involve lush hotel stays or slide shows of sweet suites :) When I'm away from home, I like staying off the beaten path and tourist traps (for the most part). A local's help and hospitality get to the heart of what any city of country is about. I also like cheap and getting the inside scoop!
