Overview
About Me
I grew up in Seoul, Beijing, Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (Saigon for those of you not familiar with the modern name of the city). I'm currently back in City #3 (Hong Kong) to acquire general adult level life skills/University education in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a student, I am on what I like to describe as a modest (slash near-shoestring) budget. I also love (sometimes going out of my way to) exploring little-known venues, events, sights. Couchsurfing combines the best of two worlds: a roof above my head, and firsthand cultural exchange, with an ever so slightly higher chance of scoring WiFi - plus there's a little more left in my pocket for tasty treats at the end of the day!
Interests
Middle-distance running, long-distance road cycling, photography, cooking, reading, hiking, tennis-spectatoring, sociology and of course traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To have made it this far through University, somewhat unscathed!
Founding an EdTech startup with two crazy brilliant minds
Teach, Learn, Share
Gender sociology, linear algebra, marketing management, product design, supply chain and logistics... Would love to pick up more strands of Spanish and most definitely Cantonese. Former competitive swimmer - can coach/lifeguard (no license though). If there are any coders out there, I'd like to be the butt of some high-level, object-oriented jokes too. Not that I get them most of the time, but I make an effort! Language teaching and freelance writing are two areas I've gotten to explore over the past few years, and I'd be willing to help out within those spheres in any capacity I can. If you're a photojournalist, a lawyer or involved in social enterprises/nonprofits, I'd love to pick your brain regarding your career - please get in touch!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A dose of multiculturality, and never ending banter on sociology, specifically gender studies. I specialize in oppression. I'm pretty good with tennis commentary and sous-chefing as well.
