ABOUT ME

Hello world, I'm very friendly, forth-coming, artistic, active and adventurous. I grew up on a farm, then moved to Calgary to learn about herbal healing practices, then went back to farmer life for awhile. In that time I seem to have acquired a pair of wandering shoes and a hungry mind, and want to learn more about the human experience through the lens of other people's lives.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm working towards living consciously in a way that supports my personal growth, that of others and the preservation of our wonderful planet. Currently in the process of learning how to do that, and plans for the future include a sustainable lifestyle, leather working and more travelling, of course!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Its great, I've met dynamic and interesting people and seen cool places I otherwise wouldn't have seen through awesome hosts. Its also wonderful to be able to host and take people to places I always go, and experience it through their eyes; it gives me a greater appreciation for what I have access to in my everyday life.

兴趣

I love to experience the outdoors in any capacity, from simply going for a walk to scaling a rock wall. Art of any kind is fascinating from checking out a gallery, to creating it myself. I also enjoy simply sharing dinner and good conversation, and listening to other people's stories and broadening my perceptions.

Anything with Russell Crowe for movies. History and fiction fascinates me, so I enjoy books and movies about those. Music includes a lot of electronic, Elderbrook, Rudimental, London Grammar, The XX, Polo & Pan, Leon Bridges, Hozier, Fat Freddy's Drop, Lizzo, house music, folk, etc

Went caving for 6 hours in New Zealand with some WWOOF hosts, in a privately owned cave network. No safety guards in there!

Natural medicine is a field that I've begun to explore, especially aromatherapy and western herbal remedies. I could write a book about raising rabbits, or if you are interested in garlic growing I have my own business doing that. Also have experience with canning and food preserving, harvesting, or creative meal preparation. I have a gluten and dairy intolerance and over 6 years experience with cooking that way, there is such a huge array of (yes, even delicious) foods to explore! Also have been working on a produce farm for 6 seasons so have a little knowledge about all that.

Company, stories, empathy, cooking skills, unattatched friendship. I unfortunately feel it is necessary to mention I'm am not willing to share my body. I have had a couple interactions where I felt the host is using the site to hook up, and to those people I politely request: get off Couchsurfing, that's what Tinder is for!!! I realise that sometimes there is genuinely a magical connection when you meet, and that's fine and honest, but predatory behaviour is not acceptable in this community!
