CURRENT MISSION

To settle down somewhere and start putting all my skills to good use while enjoying life as much as possible meeting new people, seeing new places and experiencing new things.

ABOUT ME

Well where to start. If I had to sum myself up in six words I would say adventurous, friendly, practical, multi-facited, musical and loving, in no particular order. I have experienced many things in my 30 years and love to be exposed to new situations and to learn. Singing and music are the biggest loves in my life but I only started taking this love seriously the last year as I always thought it had to be in the background and that I had to have a 'real' job. This 'real' job for me was teaching Food and Technology to high school students and while I love the actual teaching and the interaction with young people, I got fed up with the system and resigned from my on-going position.

In my free time when I'm not at rehearsals or learning piano I spend lots of time in the great outdoors, especially anything to do with water (ocean, frozen or otherwise), hanging out with friends, cooking and watching movies. I am also very interested in alternative healing modalities and have qualified as a Soul Voice practitioner. In the future I would like to bring joy and freedom to people through the use of their own voice and once I have more experience also run a choir or similar group for people to let their spirits saw.

PHILOSOPHY

There are so many of us in this world and we need to learn to be tolerant of each other and learn to love our differences and to share more. There is strength in numbers and truthful communication is of the utmost importance.
I like to live freely and I hold no great value of materialistic things. The people I meet and the experiences I have are what I hold the most dear. Time is money and I think more and more people are beginning to understand that spending quality time with someone else, or doing something for them is much more valuable than buying them a gift.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

How I participate? In life? At the moment I live each day as it comes. I am visiting friends and family in Germany at the moment after 6 years. There are many stories to tell and laughs to be had and in the coming months I want to see and do as many new things as possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am fairly new to the couch surfing and have used it once when I stayed in Berlin. I am really looking forward to meeting more new people through sleeping on some couches or meeting up for a tour of a city. A few of my friends have used/use Couchsurfing and recommended I sign up. Once I'm back in Australia, or have a more permanent place of residence I also want to host. This could take a few more months though.

Interests

Many - singing, music, learning, outdoor activities such as horse riding, skiing, swimming and camping, eating, cooking, different cultures and ways of life, alternative healing modalities, movies.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are so many movies and I have trouble remembering a lot of them. Some of my favourite movies include: The Shawshank Redemption, Tangled, Crash and anything funny.

Music - Very much depends on what mood I am in but love choral works, rock 'n' roll, and pop. A few artists I can not get enough of are Josh Groban, Andre Boccelli, Herbert Groenemeyer, Tina Arena, Pink and John McCutcheon.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach - English, cooking, singing, Soul Voice healing, computer skills. Am very patient and have lots of teaching experience.
Learn - I'd love to get better at piano, horse riding and would like to learn to dance.
