About Me

Heyy, I am Veronika! After a whole year of living in my home country - Czechia! - I am about to explore another part of this world's beauty. I am coming to New Zealand and I am very excited and a bit nervous about it too, haha. Haven't made much of planning yet, however I believe it's gonna be great. Looking forward to meeting kind and happy souls and sharing past and creating new beautiful memories with them along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have met many lovely people on this platform and also visited cool places thanks to the hosts.

Interests

Oh my, I could write a novel about my interests. :D
Obviously I enjoy travelling. I enjoy being a student too. I enjoy being among people who can appreciate life as it is.
I just remembered I wish I had more time for reading. Hopefully, it will come.
What I really like is drawing. I draw people, their faces. I draw cartoons, caricatures. I am not a professional, but since I tried it I can't stop wondering how faces are interesting. That is another thing I plan to spend a part of my life doing it.
When I get old I will have a sketch book where people who I will have met within my life's journey will be smiling on the world from.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am not a fan of any specific kind of music. I think I am quite flexible when it comes to music. What I prefer is some chill-out music, or what si it called, like deep house or indie rock - haha, I am really an expert.
Movies, I don't often watch movies, mostly because of a lack of free time, but I love documents, any kind, or biographies. I like the feeling when doing nothing I can still know something more afterwards. :D
And books. I liked a book called - A man who wanted to be happy. I enjoy these kinds of books which speak to you with an uplifting message.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh, I am trying to remember something really amazing, but no single thing comes to my mind. Every journey or a part-time job has brought something new and amazing to my life. Maybe what was kinda a "punk" style was one summer when I got hired by one American art company and I started to cartoon-draw people almost from no knowledge of doing so. It was really uneasy from the beginning but after a few days it has become one of the best jobs I have ever tried. I was laughing for more than three months with my customers I had meanwhile and I believe it was one of the most funny, most educational and most amazing thing I have ever done.

And I went to Alaska one of my jobs was street dancing in a costume of a polar bear.
