I am an artist and a witch. I enjoy cooking Moroccan food, pouring tea in the style of Gong Fu Cha, collecting crystals, and reading everything from fairy tales to tarot cards. I make wire and gemstone jewelry, and paint mostly in acrylics.

Roommate #1 is my boyfriend, who likes vegetables and looking at things through microscopes, plays some kickass guitar, and will hook you up with some awesome jammytunes and delicious bean dip. He is secretly Rapunzel's twin brother.

Roommate #2 is a fairy princess who might like crystals more than I do, does some really beautiful wire-wrapping, always inspires me to be my best self, and is probably actually a mermaid.

Unofficial Roommates #3 & #4 are wild forest men. Neither of them actually live with us. One of them usually sleeps outside and cooks delicious paleo food. One of them usually sleeps inside and cooks delicious food that is not paleo.

I am on couchsurfing because I want to share my beautiful home and my wonderful city with beautiful, wonderful, traveling people! When I travel, I like to get in with the locals to find the coolest hangouts--I'd like to offer the same. I love sharing travel stories and experiences.

Also, Austin rent is pretty high and every dollar helps. :P

Our bookshelves are organized into sections: Philosophy (a lot of Nietzsche, talk to RM#1), Science (including that XKCD book and some Stephen Hawking), History, Poetry (my favorites are Shakespeare's sonnets), Short Stories (featuring lots of Sherlock Holmes and O. Henry), Novels (including some Gaiman, some Vonnegut, and some Austen), Harry Potter (this is its own section and is right next to the Tolkien section), Reference, Arts, and Magic.

We own, like, 12 movies. Three of them are Lord of the Rings, Two of them are Miyazaki, at least 1 of them is a Harry Potter film, and I cannot be held accountable for the other 6. I want to say Kill Bill is in there, and the Corpse Bride. Maybe Across the Universe. It's really a rather haphazard collection. We don't watch a lot of movies and tend to rely on Netflix and Amazon when we do.

I can teach cooking skills--Moroccan food is my specialty, but I cook lots.
I can teach magical skills--Tarot, runes, crystals, and crafting magical objects are my areas of expertise.
I can teach Gong Fu Cha, the Chinese art of pouring tea.

I would like to practice my Japanese. Waltz & swing dancing also come to mind.
