About Me

ABOUT ME

// it's all quite an old description, I guess at least few things have changed. but I'm still up for meeting people, going to movies and travelling. now mostly in Utrecht, which is my brand new home. ^^ //

my favourite colour is blue, i have 3 favourite watches and 4 favourite scarfs and my dad makes me be sensible when i travel and choose what to bring. i'm crazy about music and never wear a belt.

i like soccer even though i call it football, expect a proper home to have a pan and people to have time off during the weekend.

i love my little brother even more than Real Madrid, i want to see the world but don't know what else i want in life.

i'm a fan of people and care a lot more that i like to let on. i'm up for most adventures. i'm cheeky as hell and apparently even more funny in polish.

people still don't have a clue why i keep saying i'm 15 ...

PHILOSOPHY

i'll think about this, i promise. for now, i just try to live the best way possible and be kind and respectful to other creatures (having hard time accomplishing that when it comes to politicians).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

during my first serious, arrange-everything-yourself journey (Lithuania and Latvia, august 2009) i surfed in five cities. it was unforgettable and fucking awesome.

after coming back home i started to host people what turned out to be even more amusing and outstanding then being a guest yourself. that's thanks amazing travelers from Germany, Belgium, Poland, New Zealand, Spain, USA and Greece. (;

me and my friends were saved by a couch surfer when we couldn't come back home from Spain after the vulcano eruption in Iceland. i surf when i.m spending new year's eve abroad what always provides amazing before parties. i convinced my mum and her friend we should try couch surfing when we were in Romania. i had a crazy bike-swimming-sightseeing night with a Swedish host. felt part of a Danish family who hosted me for a month. was hosted by famous Serbian hairdresser who's - what's more important - incredibly friendly and interesting guy.

so far - perfect.

Interests

i watch many movies, at home, in a cinema, whatever.
i spend bigger part of my free time working for website about Real Madrid, where i translate news and sometimes organize meetings for madridistas. i'm also one of the founders and board member of first Polish Real Madrid fanclub - Águila Blanca.
and i love concerts and music fests. sailing, skiing and hitchhiking, recently a bit of design (especially using natural, recycled or reused products as materials for new goods). plus stuff related to my studies: sustainable development, bioenergy.

hope i don't have to mention about traveling - it's obvious, right?

Music, Movies, and Books

love movies, in general. if i should choose my favorite that would probably be: Spork, Püha Tõnu kiusamine, Arizona Dream, Beautiful Darling, Snide and Prejudice, Os Famosos E Os Duendes Da Morte, Unmade Beds, Garden State and Samotari.

my favorite music changes all the time but recently i'm in love with Toro y Moi, Twin Shadow, CocoRosie, Rainbow Arabia, Moderat, Pantha du Prince, Blackbird Blackbird, Austra, Jamie Woon and Bibio.

when it comes to literature i usually choose non-ficition, mostly books about traveling (not to be mistaken with guide books), about countries i want to visit or i just came back from, definitely reportages. Stasiuk, Orwell (not necessarily 1984), Kapuscinski, Hugo-Bader, Kaplan, Krall... would be few authors you'll find on my book shelf.

Teach, Learn, Share

let me think...
maybe i could teach you Polish, skiing or conducting life cycle assessment studies? i used to be a younger sailing instructor but that was ages ago so i should probably practice before taking you on a boat. (;

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Burkina Faso, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Ukraine
