About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have awesome stories! Meeting new people, seeing new things and making friends around the world, too!

ABOUT ME

I never know what to say in these things! Basically, I'm just an everyday girl that has a thirst for adventure. I love meeting new people (y'all are interesting!), being out with friends doing either really boring or really cool stuff. I'm a scrapbooker, so I'm big on making memories and preserving stories. I dream big and in color!

PHILOSOPHY

I think that we are all here to help other people and to experience as much as possible. I strive to learn something new every day and to spread happiness wherever I can. The world can seem so dreary, but it isn't. I like to stay pretty positive and think a simple smile can make a difference in the world. I'm curious and love learning about people, places, things and would love to fill my brain with random knowledge. I think that we're all here to learn from each other and enjoy each other.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I take part by providing help to other travelers visiting Las Vegas, even though I can't host at this time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in Austria, and met some really cool people through the groups on here.

Interests

Movies, mostly comedies and action. Anything that a 14 year old boy would like is right up my alley.
Books. I totally heart Stephen King. And I love to read about serial killers. Which leads me to....
Psychology. I'm a Psych major and I want to get a doctorate, one day. Abnormal psychology is so interesting!
Scrapbooking. It's not for grandmas anymore.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies-I love mostly comedy and action movies. Orgazmo, Ace Ventura, Enter the Dragon, Shawshank Redemption, Last Samurai, Jaws and the Dirty Dozen are just a few of my favorites.

Music-top 40, Euro dance, pop and some of the classic stuff. I'm not big on country, and my ipod seems to be mostly full of pop, r&b and hip hop.

Books-Stephen King, the Harry Potter books, Catcher in the Rye, The Twits, Harold Schechter.... I could go on. I love to read!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one? I've seen a lot of amazing things. Walk up to the Whispering Gallery at St. Pauls Cathedral in London and check the view from there-it is incredible.

I have a new one....in Brasov, Romania, my friend and I got incredibly lost. We stopped at a gas station to ask for directions, and the guy behind the counter spoke enough English and I spoke enough Romanian to figure each other out. But we still got lost again. An hour later, we ended up at the same gas station, same guy, only now we were incredibly frustrated. He ended up leaving work to get in his car and have us follow him to our hostel...to date that is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. The heights of human kindness never ceases to amaze me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Oh wow, I have to think about this one! I have all kinds of random info in my head, but how useful it is.... is questionable lol!

Here's one.... when in London for more than a few days, get an Oyster card. It makes moving around the city sooooo much easier! And the Transport for London website is a great help to map out your travels. But always carry your Underground map so if you venture off the beaten path you can find a station quickly and easily. If you get lost, Londoners are much nicer than their reputation says- every person I met in London was friendly and helpful, so don't be afraid to ask.

Also, the U-Bahn, S-Bahn and busses run on the honor system in Germany (but they will check on occasion). Use that info however you like...
