Hello! I am Vesy - a fun loving 30 year old girl from Bulgaria. By day - I work as a humanitarian practitioner in a local NGO, by night I work on amazing projects that bring people together. I love travelling, exploring, reading, drinking tea and good coffee and good food.

I don't consider myself very outgoing but at the same time I am not a couch potato. I love going to different events where I can meet interesting people. Love the outdoors as well as museums and galleries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am fairly new to Couchsurfing. Here to meet new people while travelling. People that can show me a smidge of their world and their city. If you don't have time to show me around - please don't decline my request. I am fairly flexible and a glass of wine at night would suit me just fine :)

Interests

I am not an arty person but I love the arts. Theatre, ballet, concerts, galleries and museum - if there is anything interesting to see I will be there.

While I am not vegetarian, I love cooking veg food. I love Ottolenghi and want to attempt cookign all of his veg recipes by the end of the year. Know a good restaurant in town? Do let me know!

One of my other passions is music. I loooove indie folk, jazz and classical but happy to listen to other things every now and then too! I love Sofar Sounds and all tiny accoustic concerts. The intimacy at these places is just insane!

International development, humanitarian work and refugee studies are not just my work, they are my passion! I'd love to have a good chat about how we can live a more sustainable life and look better for our planet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Participated in a personal development program that got me to spend a few days in the middle of Italy without money, ID or any possessions. People's generosity was amazingly beautiful <3
