Hi, I'm Franco from Santa Fe, Argentina. I'm a computer engineer working on a PhD in AI for medical imaging. I also teach at the university.

I love hosting travelers through Couchsurfing. It's awesome to meet people from all over the world and learn about different cultures. My city isn't super touristy, but I try to help visitors out as much as I can. I used to mentor exchange students and have been one myself, so I know what it's like to adjust to a new place. If you're in Santa Fe or planning to visit, I can recommend some of my favorite spots and give you some tips.

I'm really into staying active with sports like kayaking, swimming, and working out. I also love traveling to new places to meet people and experience different cultures. Exploring new destinations is always exciting for me.

I rarely watch movies, but when I do, I prefer drama or cultural movies/series over horror/action/sci-fi. However, I tend to fall asleep if I watch them at night, so movie nights aren't really my thing!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Living in Cuba as an academic exchange student was unforgettable. I got to immerse myself in the Cuban education system, connect with people from all walks of life, and explore the country in different ways. I enjoyed trying a wide range of Cuban foods and visiting beautiful beaches.

What really made my time in Cuba special was learning about the cultural differences that make the country unique. From its political/economic system to its cultural traditions and customs, it was fascinating to see how these aspects shape Cubans. Overall, it was an enriching experience that I will always treasure.

As a Couchsurfing guest, I try to be as helpful as possible to my hosts. Whether it's cooking a meal, going shopping, or just hanging out, I'm always happy to do my part. I believe the best way to show appreciation for someone's hospitality is to be a considerate and helpful guest.

If my host is from a different country, I love sharing a bit of my culture with them. One way I do this is by cooking a traditional dish from my region.
