About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to take as many selfies in as many cities as possible

ABOUT ME

My name is pronounced like the letter V and I'm a full-time student & emerging interdisciplinary artist/designer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I'd like to think I'm pretty easygoing.

Catch me loitering inside Dimo's pizza (their Wicker Park location), dreaming about my tombstone looking like a John McCracken piece, looking at design books you can typically picture sitting on a coffee table, creating art in a variety of media, and sifting through Vimeo’s staff picks for good short films.

PHILOSOPHY

Never regret anything you willingly took upon yourself.

Interests

I'm interested in anything within the scope of creativity, spontaneous adventures, food tasting, and anything that might catch my eye at any given moment.

Music, Movies, and Books

Films/Movies: Anything from Studio Ghibli or Wes Anderson. I'm really interested in watching short films on Vimeo by independent filmmakers.

Music: I don't have any specific opinion for this one. My music choice fluctuates depending on my mood I guess? It ranges from R&B to ambient to indie punk.

Books: Art/design books and anything from Haruki Murakami would be my top specific choices. Other than that, I'm open to any type of book.

Teach, Learn, Share

At the moment, I'm only fluent at English but I hope to try to grasp other languages. So far, I've been able to understand Tagalog on a proficient level. I've been really interested in learning more about creative coding and data visualization, but my expertise have mostly been in the traditional arts (ie. painting, drawing) and graphic design. Hoping to acquire more skills in the future!
