About Me
Hi! :) I’m Joan Viáfara, a 30-year-old from Colombia. I’m a filmmaker and musician, and I’m really passionate about audiovisual arts. I love making videos and creating music (I have a musical project where I put all my creative energy). I also have a big love for photography and architecture!
I lived in Chile for 12 years, where I studied and worked in the film industry, so I have experience with everything related to film and video! During those years, I had the opportunity to visit several countries and see the world, so I’ve got plenty of stories to share and laugh about!
Right now, I’m planning my second trip to Europe because I’m eager to explore new places and make new friends!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m traveling because I want to explore new places, meet new people, and experience different cultures. I hope to be fully present and inspired by everything around me, so I can channel that both into my life and my art! I can’t wait to try new foods, hear new sounds, and learn about different perspectives and ways of life. As a Libra, I’m sociable, friendly, curious, and a good listener, so I’m excited to meet new people and make new friends along the way!
Interests
I’m a huge fan of the arts in general! I have a music project where I create both music and videos. I love pop culture, so I can talk for hours about films, music, or artists! Lately, I’ve been getting into painting—trying to find my personal style—and I love coffee (both making it and drinking it). I also enjoy cooking and trying new recipes.
Since I’ve lived in both Colombia and Chile, I can share some delicious food and drinks from those places if you’re interested!
