ABOUT ME

I love life!
I love family and close friends; they add meaning to what I feel.
I love knowledge and the huge crush I have over creativity makes me blush all the time. I love to laugh.
I’m one of those creatures that believe you should never, under any circumstances, limit your thoughts and radical vision. I believe your mind should be your private playground, the place where idea and meaning blend in without boundaries. I think an idea should only be judged by empirical action rather than preconceived theories.

I admire smart thinking. Few things give me as much pleasure as getting in touch with brilliant opinions or ideas.

I’m an honest and straightforward man with deep respect for my own limitations and skills. I’m a painter but I think much better than I paint, you can check out some of my work at www.humancowparade.com or www.slicewalking.com, a project launched to promote life through art.

I love to travel and in December 08 I quit my job, put the ties outside for a while, and took a one year travel in Cape Verde, China, Thailand and UK with Tânia, the other half of me.

In February 2010 we’ve created our own company, Delalande & Gonçalves, a project about branding and out-of-the-box communication. It’s small but as trees, points to the sky.

At the moment we’re preparing to set sail on an amazing travel all over Europe, mostly by train, trying to get in touch with art, people and places. We believe it can be one of those life changing experiences. Imagine, 90 days travelling all over Europe! Beautiful!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I been travelling for quite a while, although I am new at CS. Above all I want to meet people that like people. Easy going people!
Let’s talk about travels, maybe some Picasso and life over coffee or beer. Let’s laugh. Lazy jellyfish do it, electric eels I may add do it, even over educated flees do it.

I have deep interest in art, professional as well as emotional. I’ve been thinking about it over the past 10 years, I love to discuss it.

I can share my point of view about Portuguese new achievements and our contribution to the development of science and technology (Did you knew that mobile phone prepaid cards were invented in Portugal?)
I also can share huge amounts of Chinese words (after 3 months living in China, I know about 5 words).

I can suggest some cool aps and plugins to your wordpress blog or share some info about Photoshop.

If you have an idea to develop a project, maybe we can brainstorm it and add some branding value to it. Maybe you can turn it into a crazy All Over Europe travelling experience, like we did with a few sponsors.
