Overview
About Me
At the moment I am trying to get a bit closer to me and the world surrounding me by hitchhiking to India. It wasn't really planned as a spiritual journey, but as it already started, it seems as maybe it could become one :)
Apart from that travelling I am currently between my bachelor and master study of cultural anthropology at the Vienna university.
What else can I say about be ... I try to be as open as I can to everybody and therefore I am always looking forward to meet and get to know new people. In that way I may come a bit closer to understand the world and the views people look at it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was on Couchsurfing, because I liked the idea to visit not just the architecture, food or museums of a place, but get to know the people who live there not just out of some description in a tourist guidebook.
I am still on Couchsurfing as it represents for me one of the great wonders of hospitality, a hospitality which I also get to know with hitchhiking, but with Couchsurfing I also have the possibility to meet even more nice people.
And hopefully I will be on Couchsurfing in the future also to host some people in Vienna when I am back from my India trip. In that way I may be able to give back some of the hospitality and friendliness I got to know on my travels so far.
Interests
I'm enjoying to meet my friends, go hiking in the Alps, explore cities, read, cook, get experiences of other cultures and surely to travel and get new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
What can I say about my favorite music - it is nearly everything mostly alternative tunes, but some mainstream music is also really enjoyable. In the last month or so I mostly listened to Gramatik, before Guts and so my mind is fascinated by certain music before it switches to something new. Inspiration for new music is at the moment connected to the Austrian music station FM4.
In the last time I wasn't watching too many movies and nothing really impressed my mind, but generally I enjoy movies which still make me think after the end.
Bookwise I was recently reading Umberto Eco's "Baudolino" and his fantastic journey towards India really inspired me also for my trip. I also enjoy Fantasy novels like "A song of fire and ice" and apart from all the scientific literature for university I am currently trying myself with Dostejevski, but I am always thankful for new suggestions concerning books, movies or music :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am currently hitchhiking to India which is still quite amazing for me, but I cannot really say I've done it as I am still at it. But forever in my mind will stay the day when I crossed back into Georgia from Abkhazia and I was crossing the border at midday completely drunk because some Georgians who picked me up as hitchhiker were drinking too much vodka with me. So I started joking with the military at the border and had a drunk afternoon in the Georgian city Zugdidi.
Teach, Learn, Share
What can I teach? Hmm actually I don't like the idea of teaching so much, but the idea of sharing. So everybody can decide what he/she wants to learn.
So what I can share is my passion of improvised cooking, my dumpsterdiving experiences from Vienna, my hitchhiking experiences, my knowledge of hiking in the Austrian Alps, living abroad in Italy and Turkey, discussions in philosophy or social sciences or anything else you are interested in :)
