Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Myself and my partner, Murry, recently immigrated to Portugal from South Africa. We would like to meet some like minded people :) she is a sound engineer and a guitarist. I play the bass (badly... 😶) and together we are trying to start a new life here. We would like to start traveling soon and we are hoping to be hosted at some point in the year, and we will be able to host sometime in the next 6 months to a year.

Interests

I love experiencing new things and meeting new people. I love traveling and watching live shows. I love rainy days and being cooped up in bed with a good book or cool series, just to have a break from a busy life style. I love painting and drawing and creating. I love going to see art exhibitions. I love cooking and trying different recipes. I love animals and I have volunteered at kennels and fostered kittens until they have found forever homes :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There have been a few amazing moments in my life so it's pretty hard to choose just one. I think one of them was scuba diving for the first time in Mozambique. I was 13 and it was one of the most beautiful experiences I had had. Another was driving through the Namibian Desert. Getting lost in Amsterdam, 21, a little drunk and in love with life, and experiencing that with a few of my closest friends at the time. Road tripping from Johannesburg to Cape Town. Standing at the highest point in the Algarve and seeing beautiful mountains all around me, I felt like I was on my way to Mordor. But in a good way 😂
