About Me
COUCHSURFING 101:
- GET VERIFIED. And go to a meetup or something to get references. This is so other CSers know they can trust you and they will be safe meeting up with you.
- DO NOT message me if you're trying to hit on me. This is NOT a dating website.
- DO NOT add me if we haven't met. I will not accept you.

CURRENT MISSION
Visiting 50 countries before I'm 40 years old.
Soon, moving back to NYC from Berlin!
ABOUT ME
I have more than my fair share of drive, heart and ambition.
I've been told I'm easy to get along with and a bad influence --
I work too much, drink often (love trying local beers everywhere I go), cook and bake as much as I can (also buy cookbooks while traveling), geek out frequently, fawns over typography, design, photography, architecture and art, and am looking forward to my new apartment and beginning to nest in it.
I will kick your ass rollerskating or playing Texas Hold'em.
I've got a knack for creating lists, dancing, directions, distracting others, listening, and walking quickly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Solo road trip through 32 US states and 1 Canadian province (staying with Couchsurfers the whole route!). Everything from the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean to Niagara Falls and never-ending fields. It was absolutely beautiful and refreshing.
Driving around Andalucia (Spain) in the summer and eating the freshest olives of my life.
Walking Manhattan for seven hours (with a few beer stops at bars) in the middle of the night with my friend Brian.
Pulp reunion concert in Novi Sad, Serbia after summer fireworks.
Hiking three mountains in Norway for a better, non-touristy view of the fjords.
Lying in the grass under the brightest stars I've ever seen in the middle of nowhere Iowa.
Party on a rooftop in Soho with Lindsay Lohan in the bathroom line in front of me. Haha.
Diving to explore a sunken US naval ship that was shot down by Japan in WWII off the coast of Bali.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you English, a little Farsi, how to play violin, viola, cello or upright bass, tricks to learning your way around a city quickly, how to create a blog and a ton of other random geeky stuff, as well as how to optimize your packing techniques. Also, a ton of iPhone app recommendations!
ATLANTA
1. If you can't find a host! Hostel in Atlanta: atlantahostel.com
$21.95 per night
2. Do NOT try to rely on Atlanta's transit (MARTA) for anything except leaving/going to the airport. Very unreliable and doesn't go to many useful places.
3. It is nearly impossible to hail a cab in the majority of Atlanta. Instead call one. Recommend: Atlanta Lenox cabs
GEORGIA
If you're visiting Georgia and not just Atlanta, you must drive up to Athens, GA. It is a great college town with a ton of music history only 1.5hr drive from Atlanta. If you only have time for one other city in Georgia, this should be it!
If you want a dose of American history, make sure you hit Savannah, Georgia down on the Southeastern coast of the state. It's a kind of crappy 4hr drive, that I absolutely recommend AGAINST doing at night as it's poorly lit and pretty sparse of stops for the last half. It does host a number of worthy and beautiful sights though from Civil War, the founding of Girl Scouts, SCAD - Savannah College of Art & Design, Forrest Gump's bench ;), and amazing chocolates, caramels, and traditional Southern food.
UNITED STATES
!!!!!! If you are taking a road trip in the US, feel free to contact me for route suggestions! I have driven 45 of the 50 states extensively and can recommend scenic routes, off-the-grid sights, fun stops and shortcuts, no matter what you're looking for.
