Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Spending several years exploring south east Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
ABOUT ME
Vic: I grew up on a small holding in the countryside, have always kept animals, grown my own vegetables and love gardening. I am very much an outdoors person and and enjoy being active, especially coastal and mountain walking. My education background is in Ecology and I have previously taught all sorts of Enviromental Studies in a Field Studies Centre. More recently I have worked for the YHA in England and Wales which has allowed me to travel extensively, which I love doing and is something very important to me.
Matt: I also grew up on a small holding and love being in the countryside and exploring new places. I especially enjoy fishing from my sea kayak. I'm excited about travelling to new places in the world and spending extended periods getting to know them.
PHILOSOPHY
Everything happens for a reason and you should always look for the good in a situation, no matter how bad it may seem. Enjoy each day as it comes and make the most of it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When hosting: Offer a room to anyone who wants to spend some time in this area of England. Help with transportation to see places of interest which I am happy to advise about.
When surfing: Be polite, tidy and respectful guests. Happy to have conversation and understanding if host is busy and cannot spare much time.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
During our trip around South and Central America we surfed with numerous people in all sorts of locations and accommodations, all of which were absolutely fantastic experiences. We have since hosted many people from various countries at our home in south west England. We are now travelling again and look forward to staying with some new hosts in new countries!
