About Me
ABOUT ME
Well, I adore Buddhism, it's been the foundation of my personal growth since discovering it at age 15.
I believe "boredom comes from within". You'll never hear me say I'm bored, ever. I love animals, I love people, I love learning, exploring, adventuring, and most of all- creating. As a child I used to rummage through the trash cans around the house because I couldn't believe the things my parents would throw away: toilet paper rolls, old greeting cards, tags off clothing, etc.; I believed they all should be saved and used for future art projects. So my mom made me a "trash box" which I could store all of my collected finds. And I still have drawers, boxes and baskets for such material.
Recently I quit smoking cigarettes! And I gave up coffee for my newest love, green tea. I now eat about 80% organic food (I buy all organic, but won't turn down free pizza at work!)
I am a jack-of-all-trades and am constantly acquiring new tools for my belt!
For me, dancing is more natural than walking. Expect a lot of dancing around the house.
I currently live with my boyfriend and our parakeet, Dali.
PHILOSOPHY
“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.” - Siddhartha Gautama
"The future of the world lies in having enough self-esteem to accept others different from ourselves." -John Vasconcellos
“If you shape your life according to nature, you will never be poor; if according to people’s opinions, you will never be rich.” - Seneca
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can finally participate now that I live in a place with some spare room!! My last two places have been tiny studio apartments with no room for anything more than a bed!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I, personally, have not had any couch surfing experiences yet! I've referred a million of my friends to the service, and they all love it!
