ABOUT ME
Love music, sports and traveling. I love going to live music shows and I have a band. I like meeting other people and learning about their cultures. I´m good at BBQ, too. Chilean style;)
What I'm looking for with CS? Have fun, learn about people and their culture, take some beers, go out for some sightseeing, take some (free) walking tours ;)
PHILOSOPHY
- Do something that you are really passionate to. Trying is for anything else.
- Learn to love. Yourself first, thats the difficult part for all of us.
- Treat people as you would like they treat you.
- Take care of your body as your body will take care of your mind and soul. Eat healthy, do some sports, laugh a lot, dance, sing.
- Take care of your mind as your mind will take care of your body and soul. Learn new things, meet new people, think about things that you never thought before, read, see&look.
- Take care of your soul as your soul will take care of your mind and body. Learn about you, have courage and do the hard job of learning to love yourself, don't be so strict and severe with yourself, feel the conection with nature and people different to you, read about how you can reach happiness.

Interests
Sports as football (I mean, soccer), ski, wakeboarding, jogging and bicycle. Music and traveling too. I´m also interested in history, specially how facts influence in culture and people until what we see now.
I admire and have much respect for every culture and I think is amazing when they can coexist in peace and in a respectful way in every time in the past and in the present. And when that does/did not happen I feel like we as human kind take a lot of steps back in evolution.
I like to spend outdoor good times, be in touch with nature. That´s relaxing.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to listen music, and I have my favorites. I´m a big 90s rock music fan, specially Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains. Did you know that Alain Johannes was born in Chile???!!!
Also I like blues, specially John Lee Hooker. Some classic rock as Creedence Clearwater R., Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, The Who, just to name some.
Some new bands I like are Maps and Atlases, Alabama Shakes, The Lumineers and My Morning Jacket. Take note of these chilean bands: Los Tres, Los Bunkers, Los Jaivas, Inti Illimani...and of course DECERO, my band.
I usually play guitar, but now I'm learning ukelele, banjo and piano. Back vocals just in the bathroom.
My favourites films are The Straight Story, El Secreto de sus Ojos, Forrest Gump, Cinema Paradiso, The Black Swan, Into the Wild. To break the atmosphere, I always laugh with Adam Sandler´s movies (but lets be honest...his movies of the last 5 years are horrible). Tarantino´s movies are great too. The last good movie I saw was Dallas Buyers Club. Good one.
And...some music films/documentals: Immagine in Cornice (Pearl Jam), is great because it reveals very nice things about Italy and the band.
I like some writers as Gabriel García Márquez ("Cien años de soledad"), Luis Sepúlveda ("El viejo que leía novelas de amor") and J.D. Salinger ("The Catcher in the Rye" aka in spanish, ""El guardián entre el centeno").
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mmmm...the most amazing place I´ve seen I think is Macchu Picchu. I still can´t figure out how the Incas raised that city up there in the mountains, besides the great and shocking natural enviroment there is.
Also I jumped from a cliff in Dubrovnik, Croatia...36 feet high (12 meters). I was used to 6 meters, but this was just mind blowing! So scared XO

Kavafi's Poem "Ithaka":
As you set out for Ithaka
hope the voyage is a long one,
full of adventure, full of discovery.
Laistrygonians and Cyclops,
angry Poseidon—don’t be afraid of them:
you’ll never find things like that on your way
as long as you keep your thoughts raised high,
as long as a rare excitement
stirs your spirit and your body.
Laistrygonians and Cyclops,
wild Poseidon—you won’t encounter them
unless you bring them along inside your soul,
unless your soul sets them up in front of you.
Hope the voyage is a long one.
May there be many a summer morning when,
with what pleasure, what joy,
you come into harbors seen for the first time;
may you stop at Phoenician trading stations
to buy fine things,
mother of pearl and coral, amber and ebony,
sensual perfume of every kind—
as many sensual perfumes as you can;
and may you visit many Egyptian cities
to gather stores of knowledge from their scholars.
Keep Ithaka always in your mind.
Arriving there is what you are destined for.
But do not hurry the journey at all.
Better if it lasts for years,
so you are old by the time you reach the island,
wealthy with all you have gained on the way,
not expecting Ithaka to make you rich.
Ithaka gave you the marvelous journey.
Without her you would not have set out.
She has nothing left to give you now.
And if you find her poor, Ithaka won’t have fooled you.
Wise as you will have become, so full of experience,
you will have understood by then what these Ithakas mean.
a puertos nunca vistos antes.
