About Me

I LOVE Colonial American/Revolutionary War Era US History and was Head Hearth Cook at the Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation, Media, PA. (Also, about French - was fluent, but haven't had the opportunity to use it much, so lost some vocabulary and grammar, but still good enough to be understood and understand).

I have quite a lot of knowledge about the history of the founding of our country and the amazing historical sites in and around S.E. Virginia and Philadelphia where many of the events took place. In my former life, I practiced law. Now I am retired which leaves me with time to share that history and those sites with others.

I also love being in nature, and to go hiking and camping. Nature is how I recharge my batteries.

Also, especially relevant to the political situation right now, I am a big proponent of, and have a good handle on the United States Constitution and form of government (pretty much same period as above, generally). Lots of folks say you should never talk about politics with someone you've just met, but I am quite passionate about the Revolutionary (literally) idea that ours "is a nation of laws and not men" and that we are a nation of immigrants. I am glad to talk with you about and and answer any questions you may have about these subjects.
