Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
sucking the joy out of each moment
ABOUT ME
we like cheese and wine and change- we embrace change (and cheese. and wine.)
we are constantly adding new information to our ideology and get excited over the details that people tend to overlook.
we truly enjoy meeting new people and being inspired to take on a fresh perspective. we like to think that we've got a pretty fantastic collection of amazing humans to take on this life journey, but we're always looking for more.
PHILOSOPHY
the only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen all at once (AE)
better to regret something you did do rather than something you didn't do (BS)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
we invite people into our home for soup, tea, conversation and sleep.
we travel with every dollar not being pumped into the day-to-day maintenance of life. we have had amazing experiences surfing, even with our 15 year old son (who absolutely loves the idea of meeting people through this medium, and has even given up his bedroom so that they might be more comfortable)!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
we've now surfed in several major cities, and hosted in our own home[s]. we believe wholeheartedly in this project and have, across the board, been so fortunate to have met, and been inspired by, most everyone through our surfing adventures.
Interests
cheese, love, the general spectrum of things, music (preferably live), positive energy (ones, not zeroes), academic literature, comics, theory, enigmaticism, making up new words, making this world just a little bit more fantastic (just by being alive)

Music, Movies, and Books
vic likes Cameron Crowe and Steven Soderbergh and more-dialogue-less-violins-of-any-sort of films, the rockn roll, the drumn bass, all that jazz, FUNk, hip hop (and its illegitimate son, hip pop), standards, non Renaissance-y classical, and anything that's good plus post-post-modern literature including but not limited to Coupland and Lightman novels and compelling nonfiction alluding to some sort of unification theory
kris likes most of that too, and likely more
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
experiencing dusk from an 850,000 year old volcanic crater in Guatemala, viewing galaxies from the ancient pine flats of our home state, stumbling upon rock opera and laser lights (projected on 500+ year old buildings) in Brussels, standing near the Washington monument at the end of an error, watching the fireflies flittering through an Iowa ghost town cemetery, walking into the glorious sounds of music in a Masonic Temple (unbeknownst to anybody) in New York City, so many things.. life is amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
corn is the reason you hate your neighbor. no, really! ask why!
