Overview
About Me
Born in Taiwan, I spent my adolescence and young adulthood in the land of maple leaves: Canada.
I officially caught the travel bug in the summer of 2016 when I traveled to Rwanda and Israel for a community service project and then to Scotland and England with a high school friend for 36 days. After graduating from university in 2017, I took a gap year living in Sherbrooke, Quebec for five weeks, solo traveling in Central Europe for two months, and volunteering for an NGO in Bolivia for four months.
I enjoy exchanging thoughts and feelings on cultures, spirituality, interests, and lifestyles, and strive to live by my motto: life is short; always choose happiness :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is the place where all passionate souls consumed by wanderlust congregate.
To welcome strangers into your home without expectation of monetary rewards? Through this point alone, I decide that Couchsurfing hosts are genuinely enthusiastic about listening to others' stories and embracing them as chapters of their autobiographies. I believe this is where my life path gets to cross with friends-to-be!

Music, Movies, and Books

My passion for movies blossomed after taking a film studies course in high school. I love watching films because they allow me to walk into the characters' minds, experiencing the pains and happiness of their lifetimes. Some of my favourite movies include Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Before Midnight, Godfather I and II (but not III), Titanic, The Shawshank Redemption, and Disney and DreamWorks productions.
My intense fear about horror films transformed into delightful appreciation after I decided to stretch my comfort zone and took a course called Asian Horror Cinema in my final year of university. I am still terrified of them, but my curiosity is now able to override as long as I have others sitting next to me in case the killers/ghosts crawl out from the screen.
Singers and bands that I like: Billie Eilish, Broods, Cœur De Pirate, Clean Bandit, Prince Royce.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
