I'm Vicky - a friendly London-dweller who flings herself across the globe whenever possible. I love nothing more than travelling to new places, meeting new people from all over the globe, exploring local haunts, trying the local dish and drink (you tell me about it, I'll give it a go), and generally just enjoying life.

I'm a food and booze nut (I write about both for a living) and my heart lives firmly in my stomach :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I adore London and want those who visit to see the best parts (and stay away from the tourist traps). In the same way, whenever I travel, I want to listen to those who call my destination their home :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked down an active volcano with a sprained ankle. Not my proudest moment in terms of agility and sure-footedness, but it makes a good story!

I also spent six months living and travelling in a van around New Zealand. I miss it!

I love learning and sharing any skill/knowledge I have that others deem worth knowing. I'm always up for sharing time, knowledge, laughter, stories, food and friendship.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can feed you until you pop and mix you very strong cocktails of questionable quality. Other than that, I've been told I'm a lot of fun and love making new friends so if you're game for company, I'm your person.
