Hi!

I went travelling to South America 8 years ago, and I've never stopped thinking about travelling. I've done bits in between, just not enough. I know that the next time I leave on a proper adventure, I won't be coming back. I love meeting new people, sharing new experiences, trying to move outside my comfort zone. Think less, do more!

I spent time trying to become a carpenter, went down construction path and CNC and found it not creative enough, but I adore working with wood. One of my favourite experiences has been spent in the Brecon Beacons learning timber framing. I'm currently following a path of massage, with an interest in chronic pain and injury rehabilitation, perhaps moving towards physiotherapy. That said, a big part of me wants to drop everything, camp in the woods and learn from this amazing timber framer. It really is something else.

I love art, but scatty in my creative side, so always looking for inspiration and trying to overcome that art anxiety! I would love to paint humungous murals on the sides of buildings. The bigger the better. I love the ocean, and also dream of living on an island and becoming a dive instructor. Too many loves in life, easy to get muddled.

Anyway, cheery, I like dancing, live music! I gots a lota love to give.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting new people, hearing their stories, their way of life. Living in London gets pretty lonely, despite many interactions with people. I crave to go somewhere different, do something different, get out of the city to give me perspective about what's important to me.

Interests

I'm interested in environmental sustainability and up cycling ideas; I have a bad habit of collecting what is essentially rubbish in the hope of making it into something, it's going to be something soon! I like drawing people so if you are willing to sit for me, I'd love to sketch a portrait to practice. I love the creativity in vegan cooking, without being an actual vegan... so many crazy recipes to make "not cheese". I really enjoy volunteering, and being a part of a community. It's the only time I really feel connected.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like whatever music I like, go through periods of genres; at the moment it is hip hop, and anything soul, funky, Rnb, bluesy, jazzy stuff :-D. Taxi Driver, saw that in an old porn cinema and fell in love with De Niro. I don't really read fiction, I like reading stuff about the brain, or how amazing animal cognition is, random stuff like that.
