About Me
🇨🇳I'm from Xi'an, an ancient city in China中国. With a passion for arts and culture, I am trying to explore the world a little more. After the Covid, I made a trip to Europe欧洲, the Middle East and Southeast Asia中东, travelling around Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Italy, Vatican, Spain (2023 ). And, I spent 3months in Australia and 2 months in Indonesia in 2024. Last month (Ocotober 2024)I explored Japan🇯🇵 a little bit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been a member of the Couchsurfing community since 2008. I absolutely love it and believe it's an excellent way to connect with people and experience different cultures. Over the years, I've met some amazing people from different countries, especially those who are ambitious of global traveling. I love connect with ppl, sharing stories, experience and ideas together; it's a culture exchange journey expanding my perspectives towards the world! and I'm sure I'll meet more. When I meet other Couchsurfers in Xi'an, I like to share local information and the knowledge I've gained through life.
⚠️Important Notice:
I am here to genuinely connect with fellow travellers and locals to explore cultures and share experiences. Please respect that I am not interested in flirting, inappropriate conversations, or any form of romantic or physical advances. Couchsurfing, for me, is about authentic travel experiences and meeting people with shared interests, not for hookups.
For my safety, whenever I secure a host, I will share the address and the local police contact information with my family. I also keep in touch with them daily to ensure my well-being. I kindly ask that all communication remains respectful and focused on travel, culture, and mutual exchange. If these boundaries are not respected, I will immediately cease contact and if it's too negative to bear, I will give a negative reference.
Interests
Being a Christian in China中国🇨🇳
The reason I’m sharing this story today goes beyond curiosity—it’s about connection. Over the past year, while traveling to nearly 20 countries, I kept encountering a question that stayed with me: “How did you become a Christian✝️?” It was a question that struck a chord, and I want to share my answer with you.
In 2016, when I was living in Xi’an, I met a woman from Shanghai. She had spent years abroad in Argentina, where she met her husband, and their love story seemed like something out of a movie. She was lively, always glowing with warmth, and we quickly became friends. But one day, she opened up about a part of her life that shocked me to my core. She confessed that she had struggled with depression and had tried to take her own life—more than once. I couldn’t believe it. How could someone so full of life have been so close to giving up?
But then, she told me something that completely changed my perspective. It was her encounter with Jesus that pulled her out of that darkness. Her life had been transformed, completely turned around. Hearing her story was like watching someone come back from the edge of a cliff—only to discover a path filled with light and hope. And here she was, standing in front of me, full of joy. I was deeply moved. In my 30-plus years of life, no one had ever shared a story like that with me.
I had read parts of the Bible before, but honestly, it didn’t resonate at the time. It felt more like a book of stories than something that could truly change lives. But after hearing her testimony, I began to see it differently. She invited me to her church, and out of curiosity—and maybe a bit of longing—I decided to go.
What I experienced in that church was beyond anything I could have imagined. Watching her worship, seeing her sing with such joy and peace, it was like she was radiating light. I couldn’t hold back my tears. Something powerful was moving inside me. I didn’t fully understand it, but I felt it. That same day, the pastor shared the story of Jesus and asked if anyone wanted to open their heart to Him. I didn’t have all the answers, but I knew I wanted to say yes. Something within me shifted, and for the first time, I felt like I was part of something much bigger than myself.
My friends and family assumed I turned to Christianity because of personal hardships—losing my father or going through a tough breakup. But the truth is, my decision wasn’t about escaping pain. It was about seeing the incredible transformation in my friend’s life and realizing that kind of change was possible for me too.
Being a Christian in China, where Buddhism is more common and Christianity isn’t as widely accepted, has its challenges. But I feel a deep sense of gratitude to be the first Christian in my family. I’m still learning, still growing in my faith, but I’m committed to sharing this journey. My hope is to bring that same light into the lives of those around me.
This story isn’t just about finding faith—it’s about witnessing the power of grace, love, and transformation. I hope that by sharing it, I can offer a little hope to others who may be searching for that same light.
