À propos de moi

My life is about adventure.

The first factor to build "me" is the World map. I love reading it since I was very young like 6 years old. It opened my eyes of the world esp. the "long" country Chile, and it inspired me of travelling. The second factor is National Geographic and the English TV channel, then Geographic lessons in sec. school, altogether they built the values in me. The most instinctive one is travelling, then the value to money, environment. I am now a half vegetarian. I only eat very little meat occasionally. I am also a so-called environmentalist. I hate seeing wastage and plastic bottles.

After graduating from university, I worked for one year and then quit, to chase my dream. My dream is to discover Latin America and now is coming true!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I always think that money can only buy time but not happiness nor experiences. You can grow food instead of buying from supermarket; you can walk/bike/hitchhike instead of buying a flight ticket; you can couchsurf instead of staying in a hotel... I hate capitalism and I prefer sharing or exchanging or give out things!
As a traveler I've been always thinking how to travel without money(next step is to live without money) couch-surf and hitch-hike come to my mind.
I've surfed in Oslo, Tallinn, Helsinki, Munich, Venlo, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Malta, Lisbon, Mexico City, Oaxaca! All the hosts are very nice and I enjoyed a lot!

Centres d'intérêt

In Hong Kong, there are so many mountains and beaches, hiking, camping and swimming became my must-do items in holidays. (my boyfriend and I are thinking of being eco-tour guides in HK to show the beauty of nature of HK, after we came back from the one-year journey)

Traveling has always been my passion. I don't like luxurious travels or being a tourist. I like travelling like a local, taking the local transportation, eating in local restaurants, making local friends, etc. And I like to go to places where no one knows, they are mysterious and waiting for someone(me) to discover.

I also like music and arts. Arts is my major in university. But I'm kind of person who don't draw or paint when I have time...haha weird right? I'd rather enjoy someone's artwork or music. I met many future musicians/directors in my class so I can always enjoy watching their performances. I also like wandering in museums.

I also spend my spare time volunteering in HK. I prefer long-term volunteering as I always think that short-term volunteering has not much impact.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

"V for Vendetta" and "The Fountain" are my favourite movies so far. I'm wondering if someone also appreciates "The Fountain" as I do, it is somehow spiritual and religious but it touched deeply in my heart.
And also I really like "Before Sunrise" and "Before Sunset".

For the recent years I found myself into alternative rock. I listen to Radiohead and Muse. Besides, I started to listen to Jazz and I also found Bossa Nova very nice!! When I was younger I like hip-hop and rap, I love Eminem.

I am not a fan of reading but I sometimes kill time by reading novels. But I really like National Geographic since I was very young. It opens my eyes and it is one of the factors which makes me travel.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Currently My boyfriend and I are travelling and volunteering round the world for a year! Our first destination is Kenya. We planned a project called "Slum Kids Can Shine", it was done successfully. We then started an NGO there with our Kenyan best friends to help more slum kids and the youths.
If you want to know more about this journey, can check on our FB page (if you can understand Chinese):
