About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get the most out of being back home in Sheffield after 2 years travelling.

ABOUT ME

I am a friendly girl who loves to meet new people and I can normally get on with most as I am very easy going! I have just finished travelling for 2 years, I am so grateful to have had this opportunity and I am definitely living life to the fullest. I certainly made the most of my time. Despite being very sociable, I like my quiet times as well.

PHILOSOPHY

You create your own reality.

Law of attraction.

I believe in karma.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted one lovely girl from Italy which was lots of fun. I loved showing her around Sheffield, chatting and having the odd glass of wine! I couchsurfed a few times on my travels (including on a yacht) and now I would like to return this generosity with inviting other surfers to stay with me.

Interests

Prior to my career break I was working as a midwife, which is a stressful, but incredible job. I am now working as a midwife again and I have a whole new view on life. Work no longer will trap me. I am working part time so I can do the things I love like learning about alternative therapies, going hiking, reading, journalling, going to gigs and festivals and of course the odd party. Yoga, meditation and spirituality have started to take place within my life over the last year and have become one of the most important.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite types of books and films tend to be fiction, but with a true story or a history/geography lesson within them. The Book Thief, The Kite Runner and Into the Wild are all good examples. However my ultimate favourite films are The Blues Brothers and Grease. They are classics! I have quite an eclectic taste in music my favourite genres are probably Reggae, Indie/Rock and Soul (60's and 70's). However, I love a bit of drum and bass and other electronic music. I always seem to end up at psytrance nights!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Dance around a fire naked at Kiwiburn festival in New Zealand, very liberating!

Teach, Learn, Share

I was learning French during some of my trip, it would be good to continue this. I could share my midwifery knowledge if anyone is thinking of having babies. Basics on meditation. Share a beer or attempt to cook us a meal.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Basic beginners knowledge on meditation if they wish. I am happy to cook, hang out and hopefully give good conversation.
