About Me

Please remember that Couchsurfing IS NOT Tinder ;)

CURRENT MISSION

Eat good food, meet wonderful people, see new places! I'm grew up and live in the Boston area, but I try to spend the summers in new places. This summer I will be living in Seattle and exploring the West Coast and British Columbia. I am a user experience researcher by trade and a photographer and napper in the heart. I spent a year researching how young people interpret global cities, so I am fascinated with hearing other people's stories and trying to understand just how our world community comes together.

ABOUT ME

I am an experience researcher and designer, so I love EXPERIENCING. I can be happy almost anywhere if there are good food and good wine available.

PHILOSOPHY

Reach out, relax, and reflect.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am outgoing and love to meet new people, but I certainly do cherish my independence. I would love having new friends show me their homes and having insightful discussions that may last hours on end.

Interests

At university I studied American Studies (culture, history, art of America) and Media Arts & Sciences (the combination of computer science, design/art and media studies). I love food, wine, cheese... all the things you need for a good life. I also like boat sports like rowing and sailing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Haruki Murakami, David Sedaris, George Saunders

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked through a lava tube in Iceland and did not have a panic attack

Teach, Learn, Share

I love listening to people's stories and trying to understand where they came from, where they are now, and where they would like to go. I also carry the weight of this by sharing my own experiences and background. My favorite part of traveling is the people, and the food doesn't hurt either.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Bad jokes! Energy for life! Horrible dancing! Genuine laughter!
