Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've traveled some in the past (I lived in the US as a kid and worked in Ireland, the UK, Peru and Hungary) and I am looking forward to doing so in the future as well. I'd like to explore new ways of meeting genuine people and experience cities and environments off the beaten touristsy tracks, whether at home in Montreal or while on the road.

I've enjoyed being a guest from many members of the CouchSurfing community in the Americas in 2018 and I would like to give back to the community while meeting travelers and exchanging ideas with them!

Music, Movies, and Books

I've been listening to a lot (too much?) of minimal electro and melodic techno in the past 5 years or so.
I consider myself a cinema-lover, so I don't prefer any particular genre as long as the movies I watch are good in their own fields. Still I'm surely a bit of a nerd, so Star Wars (first 2 trilogies) and the Lord of the Rings are among my personal favorites.
I'm not much of a fast reader, but I recently really enjoy Kurt Vonnegut's anti-war novel Slaughterhouse Five.
