My mission is to help people understand their own culture and culture of other countries. There are common values in different cultures.

Most of all I like to know about the world, that's why I like read books (classical literature and books on arts, philosophy, religion), to travel. Especially I like to think how different philosophical or religious ideas may help the people to live better in world. I think, that they did. But what's ways?

Really friendly people hosted me in France, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary. I am very grateful to all of them!Welcome to Russia! Also, I hosted people from France, Germany and Russia, and I think, they liked my hometown.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm in CS from July 2010. From this time I have met many interesting, hospitable, kind people from France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Russia and I have known a lot about culture and customs of these countries from our conversations, and I hope, that they also liked my hometown - Vladimir! This is really very good project!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like classical music, especially Beethoven, Schumann, Bach, Brahms, Liszt, Mahler.
I very like to read books by Dostoevsky, they are so many interesting ideas in them! Also I like "The Glass Bead Game" H. Hesse.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was amazed by view to the river Donau in Budapest from the Gellert's hill!
I was on the top of Ulm's Cathedral tower (142 m) - with 730 steps upstairs!

I can teach you some Russian (and Russian culture and history), also I can tell you, what I know about ethnography, arts (especially, i'm interested in religious themes in art), about my travels, and other subjects of my interest.
You can teach me German, other languages, tell me about the culture of your country.
