Overview
About Me
I am half-Spanish/ half-German and originally from Madrid, Spain. I am 22 currently and I am doing an Exchange Year at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow. My home university is in Munich though, where I am pursuing my studies in Economics and Political Science.
I would consider myself as very open-minded, easy-going and flexible. I like to share many of my experiences and I am very eager to learn about different cultures.
Spanish and German are my mother tongues, besides that I am fluent in English and French, so I guess there are high chances that we can communicate with each other! Moreover I am currently learning Russian and trying to communicate, even though I still have a hard time sometimes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am crossing Russia from the East to the West on the Transsiberian Railway. I started in Ulan-Ude a couple days ago and now on my way to my final destination, Moscow. On the route I am visiting all major Russian cities to get a glimpse of Siberia. I believe that the best way to discover about the city, the culture and it’s history is with its local people.
Interests
I love to travel and discover new cultures and people, besides learning their history and about their economic performance and political situation. As a future student of both subjects I have a great interest in the latter.
Besides that I love doing sports, have been many years in a track a field team. Hiking and climbing mountains is also one of my hobbies.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like all different kinds of music, but I am probably a bit more into house/ electro. From time to time I listen to regeatton or Spanish music, which reminds me of my home country.
Regarding movies, I like action/ thrillers but also historical movies or others where you have to think more. I usually don't like low budget movies or where is only few action.
Used to read many novels, but right now I am reading more about history/ politics/ economy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are plenty things which I would consider amazing experiences, but I would highlight my year in Boston, USA and my Military Service. Also my recent trip to Lake Baikal and having a view on it on top of a mountain is definitely one of them.
Teach, Learn, Share
Besides my languages I can tell about me, what I have done and lived so far. I know some good recipes, too!
