About Me

Hey guys,

What about me ?!

I am a young French 26 year old traveler (so not that young in fact!) and after walking and hiking on the Silk Road, my new challenge is riding Africa north to the south on motorbike.
I'm doing this adventure with my friend Nico and we are planning to report our African discoveries (people, culture, music, minorities, landscape, ..) for our project named "Pardon Maman: MotorcycleDiary" https://www.facebook.com/pardonmamanmotorcyclediary/

The challenge begins in Djibouti, and will end in Good Hope Cape, South Africa, that’s the plan for now (no return date for the moment)!

Why? I would say, my whole trip is about a great desire to escape, see, live and meet! Soooo… depending on who I will meet along the road, the trip might be continued!

I am a "moto"backpacker with almost no stuff but a tent for the wildest moments.
I ‘ve got a smile full of teeth and loads of funny/crazy/creepy stories gathered along the road to tell you about!

I have always been in motion since I was 17, I've never lived more than 2 years in the same place, I really need few stuff and being surrounded by nice people to live the life I like!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The aim is to be the closest to the people, traditions and local life, couchsurfing became obvious when I got to choose my accommodation!
The trip is for me synonymous of sharing and meetings, difficult to do better than couchsurfing!

I ‘ve used counchsurfing a lot during my previous trips, mostly in Iran, North and South America and it is with pleasure that I host travelers when I have a home (and a couch).

Interests

I love to live my life and just do whatever I like!!

I have a passion for travels and everything that goes with it, you know… that feeling of being a tiny little thing when you are in front of that amazing speechless landscape! Makes me feel alive!

As well, I would say I'm a very curious person, I like to eat local, drink local, dance local and keep an eye out on things!

What else? Ah, I am a sport lover! I was born between sea and mountains, which allowed me to climb and mountaineer as well as surf, dive and sail every week end.

I’ve always been riding a bike when I could. I often try to experience my trips on two wheels (Cordilleras de los Andes between Argentina and Chile, exploring the Laotian jungle, road trip in Corsica, the Italian seaside, ...)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music helps me to enjoy my daily life, I do not really have preferences but what I do like is when a story’s associated to the music I listen to.

Some songs may recall more memories than a picture!

This trip wouldn’t be the same for me without books!
I got to choose my readings around the adventure theme (Sylvain Tesson and Nicolas Bouvier, are clearly my favorite authors) but I also carry out French classic literature to catch up with culture !!

I was born in Cannes (film festival city), I am sensitive to the movies!
I’d rather go for smaller productions than huge blockbusters, even if sometimes I give it a try, it's more for the show!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked for over a year in northern Canada, as a helicopter pilot.
I had the opportunity to fly at a time where Northern Lights were pointing out their nose! Amazing and particular moment.
With the work diversity I was taught to do, I could meet with a polar bear one day and hunt a porcupine with a wooden stick the other day!

Teach, Learn, Share

Naturally curious, I expect a lot of sharing and advices during these different times.

All my life, I’ve been doing different handy jobs so I’m sure I could teach you something new: skipper a boat, show you how to choose and cut a meat, scale a fish or help you building or fixing stuff in your home!
Indeed, I’ve worked for the last two years for a construction company. I started as a plumber but quickly learnt a lot of other positions in the construction business, so feel free to ask in anything!

I have some stories that can make you travel, some other crazy that can make you laugh !!!
