CURRENT MISSION

I work for the association Service Civil International, which organizes each year more than 1000 International Workamps all over the world. It aims to promote peace and tolerance between people over the world.
I am Coordinator of volunteers who wants to go abroad for short or long-term, and incoming foreign volunteers :)

ABOUT ME

I am a really sociable and open-minded young man, I travelled a lot during my childhood with my parents, and now with friends or alone since I am student. Now I work for an international organisation that allows me to travel in Europe, Africa and Asia from time to time !
I play the guitar and I like all kinds of music. I practice climbing since I am 12.

PHILOSOPHY

I do personnaly think that people over the world have to meet the other culture, customs, ways of life,... to understand each other.
Living and working together with people of different backgrounds helps us to break down barriers and prejudices. It allows them to experience a world of mutual respect and understanding.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent a year in Berlin as European Volunteer, and during this year I met a lot of Couchsurfers. Before that, I didn't knew this way of travel, and I immediatly loved the Couchsurfing' way of thinking : anybody you host in your couch, even if they don't ask, they are happy to visit your city with you, and to invite you back in their country in return !

Interests

I like music and playing the guitar (especially with friends).
I want to discover all the world, but not at once ! I know I will travel to discover more and more various lifestyles and culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of French variety. And Rock'n'Roll, from every country.

My favorite book is "A Confederacy of Dunces" (John Kennedy Toole) which I find really funny !
My favorite author is Franck Thilliez (french) who writes very good thrillers...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18, I was in a big summercamp for children in Croatia with friends. During two days off, we built together a makeshift raft (of wood and empty plastic bottles) and we swimmed 200 meters until a little desert island.
We spent 24 hours there, hunting rats and fishing... we didn't catch anything, and we were so hungry when we had to come back swimming !

What I Can Share with Hosts

Make you discover real beers ! Lille is called "capital of Flanders" as we are veeeery close to Belgium so... we know what beer to drink when we need it :)
