Overview
About Me
I'm simple and easy, I believe life is for everyone. I don't bother striving for the sake of competition. I do excel at things sometimes, but only because I love it and it comes naturally.
I have a tender personality. I'm honest and genuine. Not trying to compete, not trying to manipulate.
I value freedom a lot. I'm not good at committing to a group, tribe, style or religion, but I may sympathize with many. I've let things go in life, for fear that they cost a bit of freedom and honesty.
I'm not an extrovert. I like party if I have enough connections. I like beer, but just a couple glasses. I like meeting new people in small numbers, otherwise it's too much dynamics, freezes my brain.
This girl in the pictures is Ívina, my wife. We're moving to Holland. I'm going first to sort out a job, she's coming next.
I'm from Fortaleza, she's from Ubajara, both in Brazil.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
CS is a great way to meet new people. You have a chance to spend time together and actually get to know each other. Most experiences end up being much more positive than what we've hoped for.
As a surfer, I liked being taken to unexpected places (although ordinary for my host) and finding that to be much better than what I had planned to do: The red mountains outside Las Vegas, celebrating Divali in a Sikh temple in San Francisco, a music festival in Italy organized by my London housemates...
I've lived in London in 2012-2013. I developed my first roots there thanks to CS. I was so lucky as to find my first and only host to be a fantastic person, with which I got along very well. As result of this meeting I found a place to live long term, to share with lovely people, and built a friend base in the city.
Now that me and Ívina want to settle down in a new country, we see in CS an opportunity to, in the same way, get links with people that will be most valuable to us.
