Current status: we're back home after 1 year journey, visited more than 20 countries, met great people all over the globe and experienced tons of emotions during that year abroad.

My wife Zlata and I ( we always travel together) learned management at Plehanov Economic University and then Сonstruction at Moscow State Civil University. Zlata also finished her master in law in RUDN.
I am working as a government relation manager (engineer) in civil engineering company, Zlata working as a civil forensic expert.

We really like travelling and been to about 30+ countries, but 1-2-3 week travel was never enought for us, so we decided to go on a 1 year travel to meet new people, cultures, places and see that the world really likes.
( 2018-2019).

We are Russian and that means:"Russians are a nation inhabiting territory of Russia an ex-USSR countries. Russians enjoy drinking vodka and listening to the bears playing button-accordions. Russians are open-minded and warm- hearted. They are ready to share their last prianik (russian sweet cookie) with guests, in case lasts encounter that somewhere. Though, it's almost unreal, 'cos russians usually hide their stuff well."(c) urbandictionary.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I can properly answer that questions after trying CS more that 20+ times, so here is the answer:
The main idea for us is bringing something new or great in others life, I mean some fun, knowledge, nice conversations or just good vibes.
We're usually looking forward to know something about others life, interests or thoughts.

"One day i thought -why not? and decided to join CS, now I'm planning a world tour in 2 years." I wrote these line in 2015. Now we are on the road.

Interests

We both enjoy skiing, play board game ( in fact i'm a board game geek and have more than 50 games in my collection).I also used to play computer games a lot such as Lineage 2, HOTs, Dota. I am a fan of The Elder Scrolls 3:Morrowind. As a travellers we enjoy tasting local food ( also can cook something ""really russian" for you) and see how culture changes from one country to another.Like other Russians sometimes we really like useless political and life debates at 4am in the kitchen.

Books: lately I read a lot about -round-the-world travelling but also like The forgotten realms series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) Jumped with a parachute.
2)Try paragliding.
3) Travel non stop for a year.
4) Livining in mongolian yurt ( tent) in a middle of nowhere.
5)rafting on the north of Russia with a night temp. about zero.
6) Climb mt. Fuji in Japan to see the sunrise.
7) Ride more than 3000 km on scooter thought Vietnam and Laos.
8) Ride all across Georgia on a car.
9) Ride North Island of New Zealand on car.
10) Volunteering on farms in Australia.
11) Trekking in Himalayan mountains. Saw 3 out of 10 highest mountains in the world from one point.
12) Cross Russia and Turkey from west to east.
13) Hitchhiked more than 5000 km in different countries.
14) Have more than 25 flights in one year.
15) Celebrate New Year in Sydney.
