About Me

I like to go out and explore restaurants, lounges, museums, and so on.

I love living in the city; NYC has a pretty great nightlife, I can pretty much take lessons for or do all kinds of different activities in the city, and I can try a bunch of awesome restaurants, from hole-in-the-walls to fancy restaurants!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just trying to branch out and meet travelers/people from other places again. (It's always a plus that they usually have interesting stories.)

Interests

I love food, dancing, and sports (basketball/hockey/swimming). I'll pretty much eat and try anything haha.

I kind of love food, and that love's a little juxtaposed by my quasi-obsession with working out and being healthy. (My friends totally judge me for the health stuff.)

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorites books usually are sci-fi or non-fiction. They include the Ender's Game series, The Martian, Dan Barber's The Third Plate, and Daniel Kahneman's Thinking, Fast and Slow.

I recently read Harper Lee's Go Set a Watchman, and I still don't know how I feel about it. (I see Atticus Finch as one of the big heroes in literature/media, so...)

I also like musicals a lot! Hamilton's my favorite by far (seriously, go see it if you get the chance), and Book of Mormon's a close second.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to be in a really short scene in a movie once. That was a pretty fantastic and eye-opening experience. (...It also made me sure that I never want to be an actor hahaha.)

A second would be playing with giraffes at Giraffe Manor in Nairobi, Kenya.

Teach, Learn, Share

hm... I can talk about law, policy, investing, programming, and so on (and I'm sure I can learn so much more).

I know a decent amount about different countries, cultures, foods, etc.

If you know any Latin dances, I would LOVE to learn them!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've got a ton of travel stories from a bunch of different places hahaha, so I guess I can entertain you!

I also know food pretty well (both the food scene in NYC and different cuisines in general. Seriously--if you love food, I'm your guy!
