Hello beautiful people!! My name is Victoria and I am super excited to be creating a profile on couchsurfing. I have been living in Humboldt County which is in Northern California. It is a gorgeous location surrounded by the enchanted Redwood forest. I grew up in Los Angeles so that transition was good for me- taught me a lot about slowing down and being grounded.
I received my degree in psychology because of how interesting people are.
I love meeting new people. I consider myself an open and friendly individual who loves to learn as much as possible from every interaction and experience.
I am open minded and open heart-ed :)
I want to help create positive change in the world and serve in any way I can.
I work in education and believe in empowering young women. I actually created my own course last year at the middle school I worked at which I titled "Girl Power." This was fun and challenging.
Raising consciousness and breaking out of societal norms is a daily practice.
I believe we are all bright lights in this world and I just want to shine bright and help others to Shine by offering unconditional Love and acceptance.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

Couchsurfing was recommended to me by many friends as a wonderful opportunity to meet local people. I don't want to visit places as a tourist, I really want to immerse myself in the culture and experience locations with advice from people who love where they live. My goal is to connect with as many people as possible- learning about different perspectives and expanding my knowledge about the world. Being in America I feel pretty closed off from what is happening all over the world.
I would like to build a worldwide international family community.
When I am done with my personal traveling I have every intention to open my own home and reciprocate the kindness shown to me.

My favorite movie of all time is Gone with the Wind. Scarlett O'Hara is one of my favorite characters. She is so strong and beautiful.
I love all movies with Leonardo Dicaprio. He is an amazing actor.
Of course I love The Notebook and Mean Girls.

I love to read!! I love books about philosophy and spirituality. Anything by Starhawk: Fifth Sacred Thing and Walking to Mercury changed my life.
Ender's Game is one of my all time favorites.

Music is Life :) Too many good kinds to discriminate. I especially love live music.

So I think the most amazing thing I have done is what I am about to do, which is fulfill my lifelong dream of traveling around Europe.
My partner Kyle and I just moved out of our place and sold all of our possessions and now we want to see what else is out there waiting for us. I am in Love with the Universe and I have faith that I am on my path. We are young and just want to live wild and free for a while. It is kind of scary to give up security for the unknown but I am ready for this amazing adventure. With help from people like you, our dreams are made a reality so we just really appreciate the opportunity to meet cool people who have the same interests of connecting and sharing paths. I am just thrilled!

Besides that I am very proud of the 5 day backpack we did to Machu Picchu. After that I felt like I could accomplish anything.
