About Me

Norwegian girl with wanderlust who loves to go hiking, play board games and drink wine. Currently studying software engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was looking for an option for staying in hotels when solo traveling as it can get very unsocial. Staying with someone makes it a lot more fun, and you get the bonus of learning more about cultures in a different way.

Interests

I love hiking and being outdoors, as long as it's not too cold. Indoors I watch (maybe too much) TV and I enjoy playing board games and knitting

Music, Movies, and Books

So many movies I like, but my absolute favorite has to be The secret life of Walter Mitty. I might be slightly addicted to watching tv-series, and I have a tendency to binge-watch a series when I first start. Currently and horrifyingly watching The Handmaid's Tail and then switching to Bosch or something more lightweight when it gets too scary (cuz, yes, I am a wimp when it comes to anything too scary or even exciting or dramatic :P)

Most of my reading, of books other than school books, happens when I am out traveling or on vacation. Currently making my way through some of the classics like The Great Gatsby, 80 Days Around The World and Wuthering Heights.

When it comes to music I listen to almost anything, but I will never know the lyrics to any song. Still, Coldplay and Sigrid will always be part of my favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hiked 1500 km / 950 mi of the Pacific Crest Trail in the US. The most amazing and crazy experience of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

After living in Spain for two years I still don't speak Spanish, so finally learning Spanish enough to have a conversation with someone is a goal of mine. I am a nerd studying software engineering, so if you want to learn some easy coding I can share my skills ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking a meal or baking is something I miss when traveling, so if I have a kitchen available I will happily whip something up and we can share a meal and travel stories :) FYI I am no master chef, but not to bad at the simple stuff.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, England, France, Greece, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
