CURRENT MISSION

Well to travel my homeland with my dear friend Sam. Spend quality time in the forest, visit family and old friends and god knows what else.

ABOUT ME

My name is Vicki, Im 21 years old and have spent my adult life between Australia and Canada where I have worked odd jobs and found myself on interesting journeys. I have backpacked in Australia, participated in the National Canadian Youth Volunteer program, cycled accross Canada with a group and alone, started a 'local shirts' project in the east of Canada, bummed in Byron, worked on farms, lived and worked at a pioneer style outdoor education centre in the Victorian mountains and have spent a huge amount of time gardening and working on propertys. Now I have found myself in love and on a trip around Canada with a friend, Sam. Life is good and I hope to continue pursuing the things that deeply interest and excite me!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed a lot through this network. Mostly while I was cycling in eastern Canada but as well in other places. I have hosted a tiny bit with friends in New Brunswick. I havent had the oppurtunity to host much yet but Im seriously loojking forward to it in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Incredible experiences all round. The warmest homes and people. I have had so many wonderful days and evenings and sleeps through couchsurfing. I am still great friends with many people I have met through the network and even moved in with a host once.

Interessen

Currently Im really focused on outdoor education with groups, the outdoors, gardening and property work.
Interested in plants, wild food, outdoor activities and trips, nature, gardening, properties, orchards, building, crafts, people, groups, beer.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Recently a friend and I had an intense urge to swim in a river in the night. I had never swum in a river at night and go figure this night as we swam our paddling hands and feet creating thousands of bursts of incredible, white phosphorescence. It was unlike anything I have ever seen and Ill never forget it. The next morning, the people who lived there told us we were incredibly lucky as they had never seen phosphorescence that far up the river in all the decades they had lived there.
